Dressing Up Your Garage
The garage doesn’t have to be dim and dismal. It can really be a very pleasant place, if you apply yourself. We’ll start by decorating the walls. The easy way to do that is with posters in inexpensive frames. Get something that you like. Put them around the walls. It will look great.
Also something that is becoming very popular, antique license plates. They’re available on the Internet, lots and lots of them available on the Internet. They range in price from about $2.00 to $5.00 per plate. And you can get them for your state or the year of your car, whatever turns you on. They’re very good looking, too.
Hey, here’s something else that’s becoming very popular. That’s antique signs. Some of them are true antiques. Some of them are reproductions. Pick something that you like, maybe the make of car that you own or some product that you really like, and you can get a sign to go along with it.
All right, you want someplace that’s comfortable to sit, and if that sitting area is primarily for the kids, well, an old van seat, very inexpensive, made of vinyl, incredibly durable and easy to keep clean. But if you want the more glamorous members of your household to spend time with you, this is Racing Furniture. What we have here is a sofa in their finish line pattern. It’s available in NASCAR and NHRA versions and your favorite driver and so on. Good looking and very comfortable.
Now for Goss’ garage here on MotorWeek, well, we wanted to do something with our floor, and that’s something that you should do too, because that makes the garage a lot more comfortable and appealing. We chose RaceDeck. RaceDeck comes in panels, and the panels snap together. It’s very easy to put down. It’s comfortable to stand on, and it comes in a wide variety of colors. Expect to pay about $3.00 per square foot for the Race Deck.
