With an all-new Nissan Pathfinder set to arrive in dealers any day now; it looks like Infiniti’s version, the QX60 won’t be far behind.

But, the 2022 QX60 3-row utility boasts a look all its own, incorporating Infiniti’s signature grille, with flowing curves, contrasting roof, and lots of chrome trim, into a much more luxurious take on the Pathfinder’s form.

High quality leather, open-poor wood trim, and attention to detail are interior highlights; along with serene comfort for up to seven passengers, according to Infiniti.

Infotainment resides on a 12-inch dash-top touchscreen, with a fairly comprehensive control panel just below.

Greg Carloss: "Recently I’ve been torn when it comes to Infiniti interiors. On one hand, they offer premium comfort, but on the other, they’re outdated. From the looks of it, this QX60 has solved that shortcoming. The infotainment screen looks much better. And, the new digital gauge cluster is pretty much a necessity for a modern luxury crossover."

The standard 295-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine carries over, but it works with a new 9-speed automatic transmission to tack another 1,000-lbs. onto the max tow rating, which is now 6,000-lbs. Both front and all-wheel-drive versions will be available on all trim grades.

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 is scheduled to arrive this fall.  We’ll have pricing, along with a whole lot more info before then...here on MotorWeek!
