By now you know Callaway Cars makes magic happen under GM hoods. Now they’re putting their wizardry to work on the “outside” of the C7 Corvette with the Callaway AeroWagen package. The coupe rear hatch is transformed into a shooting brake designed by Paul Deutschman.

The term shooting brake dates back to early 19th century Britain. It described vehicles equipped to carry guns and dogs for hunting. Over the years the profile has been applied to a variety of models…often a three-door wagon or utility…and now it’s the Corvette’s turn.

We slipped behind the wheel of a 2017 Callaway SC757 Z06 Corvette AeroWagen at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Just breathe on the gas and 757-horsepower pours out of the supercharged V8 for insane acceleration. Handling is phenomenal around the high speed corners.

Callaway’s dynamic Aerowagen treatment is available now, adding about 15 grand to a Corvette’s price. But, the result is uniquely priceless.
