There’s been no shortage of new drop tops this past summer, but there’s always room for one more, and the latest is this Nissan 370Z Roadster.

Based on the just-revised 370Z Coupe, the Roadster takes things in a bit more refined manner to go along with a more relaxed cruising atmosphere.

But it has still got the goods under the hood, with the same 332-horsepower, 3.7-liter V6-good for 0 - 60 times of just over 5 seconds.

In the interest of weight savings, the power top remains fabric with a heated back glass. No folding hardtop also means reasonable trunk space.

Otherwise, exterior styling differs little from the coupe. The same goes for the interior, where you’ll find a wonderfully intimate cockpit. Just add some wind in your hair and some sun on your shoulders and there are few places we’d rather spend an afternoon.

“Many times when a coupe gets made into a convertible or a roadster, you trade in a little performance to get that open air feel, but the 370Z roadster seems to have made it through with all of its Z-ness still intact.” – Brian Robinson

The Nissan 370Z Roadster is on sale now with prices starting just under $37,000.

"The Vue Two-Mode Hybrid proves that power and efficiency can coexist, and in a modern crossover you can have them both without skimping on any ability." – Ben Davis
