Acura’s SUV lineup has gotten bigger… by going smaller. This is the 2025 Acura ADX, the brand’s first subcompact utility, one that slots underneath the RDX compact and MDX midsize utilities. Acura says the new ADX offers a smaller footprint without compromising on luxury, technology, or capabilities.

Though it is a subcompact, this all new platform really shines in every aspect with a youthful design language and bold stance. With the distinct diamond pentagon grill and the signature Acura DRLS and LED headlights, it really makes for a sporty look in the front, continued to the rear with its sculpted hatch, wide set dual exhaust, and wide wheel wells. The aggressive headlight theme continues in the rear as well with LED taillights that distribute light evenly and brightly. Finishing this look off are the standard 18-inch wheels, or 19-inch if you make the step up to the A-Spec model.

Under the hood of the ADX is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine sending 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft. to the front wheels with the option to upgrade to AWD. This 1.5 is paired with a sport tuned CVT that is designed to elevate the driving experience of ADX. This CVT will simulate gear shifts under heavy acceleration, along with automatic engine braking when going down hill. The CVT does have a really good response especially when accelerating from a stop.

On the inside the interior is spacious and comfortable in both rows really allowing for occupants to spread out and be comfortable on long drives. Sitting inside the ADX you can really tell that Acura really focused on comfort and usability when designing this interior. With its 10 inch gauge cluster, dual-zone climate control, wireless Car Play and Android Auto, paired with a 9 inch touchscreen interface, and heated front seats. ADX has created a user experience that is easy to connect with and manage all your important information without cluttering your view. While giving you optional upgrades feature like leather and microsuede upholstery, with the A-Spec models introducing even sportier design elements.

ADX comes in 3 trim options Base, A-Spec, and A-Spec Advanced, the base model starts at $35,000, while models with AWD starts at $37,000 this trim includes all the standard features. While the A-spec starts at $38,000, and the AWD starts at $40,000 the A-Spec trim adds sportier elements like stainless steel pedal covers, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, led fog lights, and grey 19 inch wheels, panoramic roof with leather and suede seats.
