Porsche Debuts New Macan Compact SUV
We’ve been expecting a revised Porsche Macan for some time and it is now here, and in most cases it is both more and less than what was expected. There are few surprises in styling as it still looks like the Macan we know so well; a hugely successful compact utility with nearly 140,000 sold since here since it arrived in 2014. When the 2022 model hits dealers next year, all available trims will have more power and are faster than outgoing models. That includes the base Macan’s 2.0-liter, as well as the Macan S and GTS with different versions of the brand’s 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. What’s missing, at least for now, is a direct replacement for the Macan Turbo. However, that 434-horsepower mill is now under the hood of every GTS which is now the top trim level. All models are geared with a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission and four-wheel drive is standard as well. Interior changes are as minimal as on the exterior, with the most notable one being a redesigned center console.
