Nissan GT-R Back for 2023; Starts at $115,435
After a period of uncertainty during the 2022 model year, the Nissan GT-R is back for 2023, starting at $115,435.
This price is for the GT-R Premium and includes Nissan’s $1,895 destination charge. For 2023, the GT-R is only available in two trims, including the NISMO, starting at $212,635 with delivery.
Either model is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, paired up to a six-speed automatic transmission and the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system. The Premium is rated at 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque; however, the NISMO is beefed up to 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque, thanks to upgraded turbos– the same ones used in the GT3 GT-R race car.
The NISMO grade also has specially-tuned suspension, carbon fiber bodywork and larger Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, among other changes; though, both the NISMO and Premium ride on Bilstein DampTronic driver-adjustable shocks and 20-inch five-spoke wheels.
Our last outing in a GT-R was NISMO flavored, and we had an absolute ball both on the streets and at the strip. While the GT-R is becoming more and more outdated by various measures, this Godzilla still knows how to burn rubber and breathe fire.
