Move Over, Rudolph; RAM(RED) Edition to Pull Santa’s Sleigh during Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
Every Christmas, Santa’s sleigh is guided by one particular reindeer with a bright, red nose; but, at the 95th Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Day Parade, Santa trades up from a reindeer to a Ram. This is Ram’s seventh consecutive year as the official truck of the parade. More than 20 trucks will tow all the floats, but the jolly Saint Nick’s sleigh is to be pulled by the recently-revealed Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition.
This special edition truck features unique red grille lettering, door and center console badging. Other highlights of the show include a Ram 1500 Limited Night with a custom LEGO-themed wrap and a Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition. “As the brand that is ‘Built to Serve,’ the Ram Truck brand is honored to serve as the official truck of this iconic parade as our full portfolio of award-winning trucks pulls these floats down the streets of Manhattan,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand CEO- Stellantis. “We are thrilled to have people return to experience this magical event in person as we continue to take great pride in aligning our brand with an iconic American event like the 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.”
The 2022 Limited (RAM)RED Edition is a partnership between Dodge’s truck manufacturer and the organization (RED), which helps fund life-saving contributions to the Global Fund. Named after the color of emergency, (RED) was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to unite companies in the fight against the AIDS pandemic-- and today, this same mentality is being applied to help combat COVID-19. Every purchase of a new 2022 Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition is part of these efforts. Expect to see these one dealership lots anytime soon.
