2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV Redline Edition

Chevrolet’s Bolt EV and EUV are attempting to shake up the electric vehicle segment by reducing their starting MSRPs for the 2023 model year.

The 2023 Bolt EV starts at $26,595 for the 1LT trim and $29,795 for the 2LT-- a total savings of $5,900 per model. The 2023 Bolt EUV starts at $28,195 for the LT and bumps up to $32,695 for the Premier trim-- a savings of $6,300 per model. These MSRPs include Chevrolet’s destination/freight charges.

We speculate this MSRP move is to keep Chevy’s Bolt lineup competitive in their respective EV segments. With these price decreases, the Bolts are poised to be some of the most affordable EVs on the market; however, these models are not eligible for federal EV tax credits-- up to $7,500 in savings. The IRS ruling on the matter is that the federal tax break phases out once a manufacturer has sold at least 200,000 credit-qualifying vehicles in the states, which GM has. That being said, consumers should be aware of any state or local incentives they can take advantage of.
