BMW is bringing its controversial new face into the open air with the debut of the 2021 4 Series Convertible. The second generation drop-top also makes another big and likely controversial change, ditching the former model’s hardtop for a multi-layer fabric soft top.  Due here next year in rear and all-wheel drive forms, the 4 Series Convertible loses weight but also gains trunk space in the top transition.  Powertrains are the same as the 4 Series Coupe, including the mild-hybrid system in the M440i.
